NOW HIRING: UNIT COORDINATOR
Location: Dardanelle Club Site | Status: Full-Time (Partial Grant-Funded)
Schedule: 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. | FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Unit Director | Supervises: YDPs, Program Staff, VolunteersThe Unit Coordinator provides daily leadership for high-quality afterschool and summer programming, including Arkansas 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC) and core youth development programs. This role ensures safe, engaging, and compliant programming that supports academic success, character development, and healthy lifestyles for youth.The Coordinator oversees program planning, staff supervision, attendance tracking, budgeting, grant compliance, and family communication while aligning programming with Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) guidelines, federal grant requirements, and organizational standards.Program Leadership & Quality- Plan and oversee daily afterschool, summer, and enrichment programming
- Ensure activities align with academic standards, grant goals, and youth development outcomes
- Monitor lesson plans, engagement, and program quality
- Support student attendance, academic growth, and positive youth development
Budget & Grant Management- Develop and manage an annual site/program budget in collaboration with leadership
- Track program expenses and ensure alignment with approved grant budgets
- Prepare and submit monthly grant reimbursement requests, including but not limited to 21st Century (21CCLC) grant reimbursements
- Maintain accurate financial and grant documentation for audits and monitoring
Safety & Environment- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive program environment
- Ensure proper supervision, behavior support, and incident reporting
- Follow organizational and state safety requirements
Staff Supervision- Supervise and coach Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) and volunteers
- Lead staff meetings and ensure required training completion
- Maintain strong on-site leadership during program hours
Data, Compliance & Reporting- Track daily attendance and maintain accurate program records
- Support grant documentation, monitoring visits, and reporting
- Maintain schedules, lesson plans, and compliance files
School & Family Engagement- Collaborate with school partners to support student success
- Communicate regularly with families
- Plan family engagement and community activities
- Support recruitment and retention efforts
Qualifications & Education Preferences:
- Experience supervising youth programs and staff
- Strong organizational, budgeting, and data management skills
- Experience with grants, reimbursements, or program budgets preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain compliance
- Familiarity with ADE/21CCLC or similar grant programs preferred
